What Documents Would You Require for an RPL Assessment?

To follow a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) qualification, you will need various forms of documents. Most people call these documents RPL evidence, and you will need to understand these documents before starting the RPL assessment

 

So, what are these document types?

 

Most Common RPL Evidence Documents

 

Always remember, RPL evidence plays a huge role in your RPL qualification process. So, providing these documents to a particular institute is very important. Here is the most common RPL evidence you should arrange before starting your RPL qualification.

 

  • Personal information
  • Workplace information
  • Evidence from a third party

Above are the most common types of RPL evidence. Sometimes, these requirements will vary according to your learning provider. Also, these documents should represent your skills Certified properly. And it should be within the last 2-5 years. To help you get started the correct way, we will describe the above types of RPL evidence. 

 

 

Personal Information

 

This is the first set of documents you need a gather. You will need to submit an ID document or passport to verify your identity. Also, you will need a well-prepared CV. Remember, when you submit the document for identity verification, provide clear colored copies. For example, when you provide the institute with your ID, remember to present both sides of your ID card. Also, it should be color copies and need to be very clear. 

 

When Submitting the CV, make sure to include your previous experience, any qualification, and a recent photo of yourself. Also, it is better if you can provide or mention your Rpl certificate. Providing certificates is optional (If you don't have such credentials, do not worry about that). But, remember providing extra qualifications or Rpl certification will help nicely with your RPL assessment.

 

Workplace Information

 

This is the second set of documents you will need for the RPL assessment process. You will have to submit your workplace information, and it could be your current workplace or last workplace (If you are currently unemployed). Provide the following details.

 

  • Workplace name, address, contact information
  • Name and contact info of the owner 
  • A letter from the workplace confirming that you are working there (Optional)

Evidence from a Third Party

 

This is the third and final document, and it is crucial. You will need feedback from a previous or current workplace, and it should be mentioned about your skills and should be related to RPL Qualification. For example, this document should include your skills, teamwork, and other attributes that you contributed to the workplace. 

 

Note: Providing false or misleading information or document consider a significant breach of ethical behavior. In case of such a situation, the institute will remove you from the RPL assessment process. Most of the time, you will never get a second chance, and there won't be any refund. So, always provide correct information and documents.

If you can correctly provide the above document to your learning provider, you can start the RPL assessment process soon as possible. But, remember to provide valid documents that can highlight your skills and knowledge.
